Carers Leeds is one of our Presidents chosen charities this year. Steve Taylor from the Centre joined us for dinner and told us more about this wonderful service.
Carers Leeds is funded by Leeds City Council but relied on fund raising to provide those special extras for unpaid carers in the Leeds area. Steve explained that being an unpaid carer has many challenges so they support them in as many ways as possible looking after the health and wellbeing, enabling them to cope with the changing needs of the person they are looking after and advice on money and the cost of living.
President Patricia was able to give present a cheque to Steve for £1000 at the end of the evening.
