We celebrated being 50 years old with style. With lots of guests, including the District Governor, the party was a huge success. Darren and the catering team of Sand Moor Golf Club served a wonderful 3 course meal and the speeches were short and sharp but highlighted the amount of money and time that Headingley Rotary has invested in serving the community both here and abroad.
The Identification Quiz of members 50 years ago was tough but we did have a winner – Table 5! Members can check out the answers at the next meeting. Our musical trio brought the evening to almost a close before Patricia gave out some personal gifts.
Thank to everyone, especially Drew and Patricia for all the thought and energy that must have gone into organising. We look forward to the 60th!
